Tragedy

There was a great tragedy in my kitchen today. The other day I made potato salad since the picture of Mom making some inspired me. Oh yum, potato salad. Such a great summery food. It almost makes the rain and snow go away. So taking it out of the fridge for lunch my hand slipped. The entire bowl (minus the small amount I had yesterday) landed on the floor. Upside down. Plastic wrap won't keep potato salad in the bowl, it's not strong enough. Such wonderful food, lost. All that time and effort, wasted. Here's a picture of my trash can full of one of my favorite foods. Such a great tragedy...

  1. Um, so... like... did the bowl break or something? Was there broken glass in it? Knowing your love of potato salad, I'd expect you to eat it off the floor!

  2. The bowl was plastic, so no glass. I would do that except the last time I mopped the kitchen floor was like a year ago. Literally. And David sometimes tracks in dog doo from the neighbor's dog always going in our yard. Usually he takes his shoes off right away, but you never know. So better safe than sorry! I did manage to get some of it still in the bowl, but not much.

  3. What's a little poop in the potato salad?

(I'm sorry... I'm laughing so hard I can barely type! That's hilarious!)

  4. I'm very new to cooking, but the other day I added crushed croutons to a chicken salad recipe I found on allrecipes.com. It made it more filling and gave it a better texture.
